COMSYS Holdings Corporation (TSE: 1721), one of Japan's largest telecommunications-construction and engineering groups — building and maintaining NTT's network infrastructure, mobile and fixed-line facilities, IT systems and social infrastructure — reported results for the fiscal year ended March 2026. Under Japanese GAAP, consolidated revenue rose 2.6% to ¥630.66 billion, operating profit climbed 10.7% to ¥50.90 billion, ordinary profit rose 11.8% to ¥52.16 billion and net profit attributable to owners jumped 20.7% to ¥36.31 billion. EPS was ¥311.60, up from ¥253.54. Orders rose 7.3% to ¥685.62 billion.
Telecom-carrier work stays firm
In the telecom-carrier business, NTT-related mobile communication-quality improvement work stayed strong and 10G optical-line installation work was steady, lifting revenue even as competitive-carrier (NCC) capital spending fell. Productivity gains from digitalization boosted profit. Demand remains underpinned by data-center interconnection, mobile-traffic quality issues in dense urban areas and 10G fibre rollouts.
IT solutions and social systems
The IT Solutions business grew on the smooth progress of large system-build and information-terminal projects won previously, aided by continued market expansion around generative AI and system modernization. The Social Systems business benefited from a boom in Tokyo- and Kansai-area data-center construction, renewable-energy projects, airport work and expressway local-5G builds, though it lapped a prior-year one-off.
Solid balance sheet and cash flow
COMSYS ended the year with total assets of ¥565.71 billion, net assets of ¥407.45 billion and an equity ratio of 70.7%, with net assets per share of ¥3,456.24. Operating cash flow was ¥42.47 billion and cash and equivalents stood at ¥41.33 billion. In May 2025 the group set out its "COMSYS Group 2030 Vision."
Dividend and outlook
The group raised its FY2026 annual dividend to ¥130.00 per share (¥60 interim plus ¥70 year-end), up from ¥115.00, and plans a further increase to ¥135.00 for FY2027. For the year to March 2027 it guides revenue of ¥670.0 billion (+6.2%), operating profit of ¥54.0 billion (+6.1%), ordinary profit of ¥55.0 billion (+5.4%) and net profit of ¥37.86 billion (+4.3%), for EPS of ¥327.22.
