(TSE: 6113), a global leader in sheet-metal working machinery (laser cutting machines, press brakes and punching systems), reported full-year results on May 14, 2026 for the fiscal year ended March 2026, under IFRS. Revenue rose 10.3% to ¥437,372 million, but operating profit fell 8.7% to ¥44,798 million, pre-tax profit declined 7.0% to ¥45,706 million, and profit attributable to owners eased 5.7% to ¥30,554 million, leaving EPS at ¥96.67 (down from ¥98.72).

Acquisitions lift the top line but weigh on margins

The divergence between rising revenue and softer profit reflects upfront costs from a wave of M&A: Amada newly consolidated 13 companies during the year, including H&F Co. and its four subsidiaries and Via Mechanics and its seven subsidiaries. Total comprehensive income, by contrast, jumped 77.5% to ¥56,410 million on currency and valuation movements, and operating cash flow rose to ¥58,065 million.

Strong balance sheet, steady dividend, recovery guided

Total assets stood at ¥772,109 million with equity attributable to owners of ¥535,467 million — an exceptionally strong 69.4% equity ratio (book value per share ¥1,724.35). Amada held its annual dividend at ¥62.00 per share (a 64.1% payout) and plans to raise it to ¥64.00 for FY2027.

For the year ending March 2027 the company guided revenue of ¥460,000 million (+5.2%), operating profit of ¥48,000 million (+7.1%) and profit attributable of ¥34,000 million (+11.3%), equivalent to EPS of ¥109.49 — a return to profit growth as the acquired businesses are integrated.
