Fukuyama Transporting FY3/26 Net Profit Jumps 57% to ¥13.7bn; Lifts Dividend to ¥76, Guides ¥100

Fukuyama Transporting, one of Japan's largest commercial trucking and less-than-truckload freight carriers, posted record full-year results — revenue up 5.3% to ¥318.58 billion, operating profit up 26.9% and net profit up 56.6% to ¥13.70 billion — and raised its dividend to ¥76, with ¥100 guided for next year.

Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Fukutsu; TSE: 9075), a major Japanese logistics company specialising in less-than-truckload (LTL) commercial freight, charter transport, warehousing and international logistics, reported results for the year ended March 31, 2026. Under Japanese GAAP, consolidated revenue rose 5.3% to ¥318.58 billion, operating profit rose 26.9% to ¥9.35 billion, ordinary profit rose 15.7% to ¥11.48 billion and net profit attributable to owners jumped 56.6% to ¥13.70 billion. EPS was ¥369.50, up from ¥217.85. Comprehensive income was ¥17.04 billion, from a ¥2.62 billion loss a year earlier.

Freight volumes and pricing lift profit

Operating profit rose sharply on firmer freight rates and volumes and on cost management, and net profit grew even faster, aided by non-operating and extraordinary items and by a large share buyback that lifted per-share earnings.

Balance sheet, buyback and dividend

Total assets were ¥497.32 billion and net assets ¥285.14 billion, for an equity ratio of 56.9% and book value per share of ¥8,008.96. Fukuyama repurchased shares, cutting its average share count to 37.07 million from 40.16 million. The FY3/26 dividend was raised to ¥76.00 (¥38 interim plus ¥38 year-end) from ¥70.00, and the company guides a further increase to ¥100.00 (¥50 plus ¥50) for FY3/27.

Outlook and network

For the year to March 2027, Fukuyama guides revenue of ¥334.60 billion (+5.0%), operating profit of ¥12.50 billion (+33.7%), ordinary profit of ¥13.70 billion (+19.4%) and net profit of ¥17.00 billion (+24.1%), for EPS of ¥479.58. It added Renown Transport as a subsidiary and merged the former Tokyo-Minami Fukuyama Transporting into the group.
