ANYCOLOR Inc. (TSE: 5032), the operator of "Nijisanji," one of the world's largest virtual-YouTuber (VTuber) agencies, reported record full-year results for the fiscal year ended April 2026 (May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026) on June 10, 2026. Non-consolidated revenue jumped 29.9% year-on-year to ¥55,681 million, while operating profit climbed 23.9% to ¥20,172 million and ordinary profit rose 24.6% to ¥20,197 million. Net profit advanced 22.4% to ¥14,091 million, lifting earnings per share to ¥231.61 from ¥188.57 a year earlier (¥230.76 on a diluted basis).

Revenue grew slightly faster than profit, nudging the operating margin down to a still-exceptional 36.2% from roughly 38.0% — yet ANYCOLOR remains one of the most profitable names in Japan's entertainment sector, pairing that margin with a return on equity of 57.6%. The combination of near-30% top-line growth and software-like profitability continues to set the company apart from conventional talent agencies and media producers.

Nijisanji scales across streaming, commerce and events at home and abroad

ANYCOLOR manages the talent roster of Nijisanji (にじさんじ), whose virtual livestreamers monetize across several layers: livestreaming and superchat income on platforms such as YouTube, a large merchandise (commerce) operation, paid events, and brand promotions and corporate tie-ups. The agency operates both in Japan and internationally — including the English-speaking Nijisanji EN arm — and the roughly 30% expansion in revenue reflects growth across these streams as the VTuber format keeps broadening its global audience. Because much of the cost base (talent support, studio infrastructure, content production) scales more slowly than merchandise and event revenue, incremental sales continue to convert into profit at a high rate.

Cash-rich balance sheet underpins exceptional returns

Total assets stood at ¥36,502 million at year-end against net assets of ¥26,963 million, for an equity ratio of 73.9% and book value per share of ¥449.75. Operating cash flow came to ¥15,678 million, and cash and equivalents ended the year at ¥22,050 million — a debt-light, strongly cash-generative profile that funds content investment, overseas expansion and shareholder returns without leverage. The 57.6% ROE is all the more notable given that nearly three-quarters of the balance sheet is equity-financed.

Dividend raised to ¥75; FY2027 guided conservatively in range form

ANYCOLOR raised its FY4/2026 dividend to ¥75.00 per share (¥35 interim + ¥40 year-end), a total distribution of ¥4,537 million and a payout ratio of 32.4%. For the fiscal year ending April 2027 the company adopted range-form guidance: revenue of ¥56,000–60,000 million (+0.6% to +7.8%), operating profit of ¥18,000–20,000 million (−10.8% to −0.9%), ordinary profit of ¥18,000–20,000 million, and net profit of ¥12,326–13,696 million (−12.5% to −2.8%), equivalent to EPS of ¥205.60–¥228.45. The planned FY2027 dividend is ¥62.00 (¥31 interim + ¥31 year-end). The guidance deliberately sits below the record FY2026 profit level even at the top of the range — a conservative stance that leaves the outlook anchored on continued revenue growth while flagging heavier investment and a normalization of the exceptional FY2026 margin.
