Dispensing-pharmacy recovery

Pharmarise operates a nationwide chain of dispensing pharmacies (chōzai yakkyoku) alongside drugstore and related healthcare businesses. Higher prescription volumes and tighter cost discipline drove the sharp recovery in profitability, lifting operating profit back above the ¥900 million mark after a difficult prior year. The swing in ordinary profit was even more pronounced, more than quintupling as the group's core operations regained their footing.

Balance sheet and cash flow

Total assets stood at ¥32,680 million, with net assets of ¥6,859 million and an equity ratio of 20.3% (book value per share of ¥576.71). Operating cash flow was ¥3,278 million. The FY5/2026 annual dividend was held at ¥14.00 per share, and management forecasts the same ¥14.00 for FY5/2027, signalling a commitment to a stable shareholder return even as earnings remain volatile.

Cautious FY27 guidance

For FY5/2027, management guides revenue of ¥70,604 million (+1.6%) and operating profit of ¥1,014 million (+3.5%), but net profit of just ¥11 million (-90.0%) on higher costs, with EPS of ¥0.99. The cautious bottom-line outlook reflects continued cost pressure across the pharmacy network, even as the top line and operating line are expected to edge higher.
