KG Information H1 Net Profit More Than Doubles to ¥278m as Revenue Rises 10.6%

KG Information, an Okayama-based regional media and advertising company, said first-half net profit more than doubled to ¥278 million as operating revenue rose 10.6% to ¥1.45 billion and operating profit climbed 49.9% to ¥246 million; it lifted its full-year dividend forecast to ¥37.

KG Information Co., Ltd. (TSE: 2408), which publishes free community and classified-information magazines and runs digital advertising and media across western Japan, reported results for the first half (interim period) of the fiscal year ending December 2026 — the six months to June 20, 2026. Operating revenue rose 10.6% to ¥1,453m, operating profit rose 49.9% to ¥246m, ordinary profit rose 52.0% to ¥260m and net profit attributable to owners rose 138.3% to ¥278m. Interim EPS was ¥38.23, up from ¥15.99.

Profit outpaces revenue

Earnings grew far faster than the top line, lifting operating margin, as higher advertising and media revenue combined with cost discipline. Comprehensive income rose 69.1% to ¥218m.

Balance sheet and dividend

Total assets stood at ¥6,871m and net assets at ¥5,982m, keeping the equity ratio at a high 87.0%. The company held its interim dividend at ¥18.00 and raised the planned year-end dividend to ¥19.00, for a full-year total of ¥37.00 (up from ¥36.00).

Outlook

For the full year to December 2026, KG Information — which revised its forecast — guides operating revenue of ¥2,887m (+5.5%), operating profit of ¥501m (+13.8%), ordinary profit of ¥526m (+14.3%) and net profit of ¥479m (+42.9%), for EPS of ¥65.78.
