Aucnet Inc. (TSE: 3964), which operates business-to-business online auction and secondary-distribution platforms spanning used digital devices, fashion, vehicles and flowers, reported consolidated results for the first six months of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026 under Japanese GAAP. Revenue rose 16.8% to ¥37,984 million, operating profit climbed 21.3% to ¥7,083 million, ordinary profit advanced 25.1% to ¥7,154 million, and net profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 30.2% to ¥4,821 million. Basic earnings per share came in at ¥53.11, up from ¥40.37 a year earlier, while comprehensive income rose 30.6% to ¥4,904 million.

Both core segments pulled their weight

The Tokyo-based company said both the Lifestyle Products and the Mobility & Energy segments traded strongly through the January–June period. Profit growth also benefited from a cleaner cost base: the prior-year first half carried one-off charges for an employee share-based payment scheme and for the group's 40th-anniversary programmes, neither of which recurred this year. The operating margin widened to 18.6% from 17.9%.

Lifestyle Products does the revenue heavy lifting

Lifestyle Products — combining the Digital Products business, which auctions and distributes used smartphones, used PCs and other pre-owned digital devices, with Fashion Resale — grew revenue 21.2% to ¥27,910 million, with segment operating profit up 11.9% to ¥5,631 million. Mobility & Energy, covering automobile and motorcycle auctions, turned more modest revenue growth of 6.2%, to ¥8,513 million, into a 28.5% rise in operating profit to ¥2,421 million. The Other segment — the Agri business, which runs online flower auctions and a physical market and also grows and sells phalaenopsis orchids, alongside Circular Commerce, which helps partner companies build secondary-distribution operations — lifted revenue including intersegment sales 10.0% to ¥1,903 million but widened its operating loss to ¥214 million from ¥129 million. Two newly consolidated companies, yep Inc. and yet Company Limited, were added to the group from the start of the first quarter and sit in this segment; Menergia Inc. left the consolidation scope.

Balance sheet expands, equity ratio eases

Total assets expanded sharply to ¥59,734 million at June 30, 2026 from ¥50,781 million at the December 2025 year-end. Net assets rose to ¥29,954 million from ¥26,622 million and shareholders' equity to ¥29,664 million from ¥26,346 million, but because the asset base grew faster the equity ratio eased to 49.7% from 51.9%.

Full-year forecasts raised

On the back of the first-half beat, Aucnet revised its full-year guidance upward. For the twelve months to December 2026 it now expects revenue of ¥75,000 million (+16.9%), operating profit of ¥12,000 million (+26.1%), ordinary profit of ¥12,000 million (+26.0%) and net profit of ¥7,800 million (+31.7%), implying earnings per share of ¥85.91 on a post-split basis. The company applied special accounting treatment for the quarter and said it would file its semi-annual securities report on August 4, 2026.

Dividend raised, with a ¥39 special payout

The dividend forecast was lifted as well. Against ¥58.00 paid for FY12/2025 (a ¥22.00 interim plus a ¥36.00 year-end), Aucnet now plans ¥82.00 for FY12/2026 — a ¥21.00 interim and a ¥61.00 year-end, the latter made up of a ¥22.00 ordinary dividend and a ¥39.00 special dividend. Payments start September 1, 2026. Readers should note that per-share figures are not directly comparable with older headline numbers: Aucnet carried out a two-for-one common share split on April 1, 2025 and a second two-for-one split on April 1, 2026, and all per-share data assume both splits took effect at the beginning of the prior fiscal year. On a pre-split basis the company shows the dividend equivalents as ¥42.00 interim, ¥122.00 year-end and ¥164.00 for the year.
