Records across the board
Primo Global Holdings Co., Ltd. (TSE: 367A) reported consolidated results for FY8/2026, the twelve months from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026, on October 15, 2026 under IFRS. Revenue rose 12.7% to ¥31,571 million, operating profit 24.6% to ¥3,903 million and pre-tax profit 26.6% to ¥3,460 million. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent climbed 34.1% to ¥2,395 million, or ¥273.23 per share against ¥204.25. The company said revenue and both profit lines reached the targets of its three-year plan for FY8/2025 to FY8/2027 one year ahead of schedule.
Soaring prices for platinum and other precious metals weighed on the gross margin, but staged price revisions in Japan and abroad and a diamond-sourcing right for LAZARE DIAMOND that cut out intermediary margins turned the margin upward after bottoming in the third quarter. The group ended the year with 136 stores worldwide, against 134 at the start.
Japan and overseas
In Japan, revenue rose 15.3% to ¥20,236 million and segment profit 17.1% to ¥2,916 million, as price revisions lifted the average spend per customer and visitor numbers held up; every LAZARE DIAMOND store posted record sales. Overseas revenue grew 8.4% to ¥11,336 million and segment profit 53.9% to ¥986 million, taking the overseas share to 35.9% of revenue. Mainland China, where the group opened a third store in Shenzhen in June and marked ten years since its first Shanghai store, posted a second straight year of higher sales and profit; the first store in Malaysia also opened.
Balance sheet and cash flow
Total assets rose to ¥50,352 million from ¥45,949 million, chiefly on goodwill and intangible assets, and equity attributable to owners of the parent reached ¥21,354 million, for a ratio of 42.3% against 39.2%. Operating cash flow was ¥4,749 million, and cash and equivalents ended the year at ¥4,049 million.
New plan, outlook and dividend
Primo launched a new medium-term plan, PRIMO Beyond 2029, targeting revenue of ¥41.0 billion, operating profit of ¥7.0 billion and ROE of 17.5% in FY8/2029, a payout ratio of at least 40% and around ¥3.5 billion of share buybacks over the plan period. For FY8/2027 it forecasts revenue of ¥34,800 million (+10.2%), operating profit of ¥4,800 million (+23.0%) and net profit of ¥2,900 million (+21.1%). The FY8/2026 dividend totals ¥120 (¥60 interim and ¥60 year-end) against ¥105, and the company plans ¥131 for FY8/2027.
